Coast Guard Boot Camp Fitness Success Programs
PFT Domination Manual • Sleep Through Morning PT Guide • Make It Look Easy Blueprint
Do You Want To Barely Pass Your Physical Fitness Test?
Do you want to be in searing agony and get battered during morning PT?
If you’re reading this, then I’m sure the answer to both of those questions is a resounding “NO.”
You’re not here because you’re striving to reach the bare minimum because you’re fully aware that hitting bare minimum numbers when you ship out means you’re asking to get skinned alive by your Company Commanders.
Not only will you likely not pass the PFT due to being exhausted, stressed out, and sleep deprived when you first take it, but you’ll be setting yourself up to get the “red belt”. The “red belt” is worn by recruits who get sent to RAMP (Recruit Aptitude and Motivational Program).
This is step one of the slippery slope that leads to reversion.
And the attrition rate in Coast Guard Boot Camp remains significant. Data from a few years ago shows that roughly 1 in 5 recruits don’t make it through to graduation.
This is why you need to show up properly prepared.
The choice is yours. The blueprint is here for you. All you need to do is use it.
An 8-Week Comprehensive Training Manual Catered To Your Current Fitness Level
You’re Not At The Same Fitness Level As Everyone Else
Follow A Program That Is Designed For Your Abilities
I created 5 distinct fitness level types based on body composition, prior/current exercise style, and current performance on the Coast Guard Physical Fitness Test (PFT) – the same one you’ll be taking at Cape May.
The 5 Fitness Level Types
Level 1: The I’m Overweight Type (16-week program)
- Can’t complete 1.5-mile run without walking
- Unable to do 50% of required push-ups/sit-ups
- Need to build endurance AND shed pounds
Level 2: The I’m Thin and Weak Type (16-week program)
- Stick thin, can barely do a few push-ups
- Advantage: easier running and sit-ups due to low body weight
- Focus on building muscle endurance
Level 3: The Average Person Type (8-week program)
- Can complete 1.5-mile run without stopping
- Can do at least 50% of required reps
- Decent starting point, needs refinement
Level 4: The I Lift Weights Type (8-week program)
- Used to working out regularly
- May need to shift from heavy lifting to calisthenics/cardio
- Risk: too much muscle mass can slow you down
Level 5: The Fitness Stud Type (8-week program)
- Already exceeding most requirements
- Focus on maintaining and mastering specific exercises
- Fine-tuning for peak performance

You ABSOLUTELY, POSITIVELY CANNOT Come To Coast Guard Basic Training Thinking You’ll Improve Your Physical Condition Once You’re There
If you wait until you get there, you will significantly increase your chance of injury.
You will very likely see injured recruits walking around with crutches, arm slings and other injuries while you’re there. These are often the people who don’t prepare adequately. Don’t risk being one of them. Poor preparation can lead to reversion and getting stuck in Cape May longer than the intended 8 weeks.
The mental aspect of boot camp is even harder than the physical part – help yourself out by making the physical part easy.
